Focus on Imaging PhotoPLOD 2009 Basic Event Details

PhotoPLOD Friday 5 - 6 June 2009

Location, Start: PhotoPLOD 2009 is a 40-mile walk at Steyning Leisure Centre, in West Sussex and wending its way the arduous South Downs to culminate at the stunning location of Birling Gap near Eastbourne.
Refuelling at one of the check pointsTeams will gather at 10pm on Friday 5 June for registration and briefing in preparation for the midnight start. Feel free to arrive earlier and enjoy time in the local town pubs.

The Route: The route is clearly marked on OS maps 111 and 112 as the South Downs Way. Blue arrows sign the route and this is also clearly illustrated in the PhotoPLOD walkers instructions which are issued at Registration. You can see the route on our basic route details page.

The finish of the PhotoPLOD at Birling GapYour Team: Your team of six should include at least two men and two women. The seventh member of your team will be your support driver who will keep you fed, watered and generally maintained.

As captain of your team, you will be expected to ensure everyone has the information they need to fundraise and prepare for this mammoth challenge. Check out Captain Roles and Responsibilities
