Action Medical Research works with a wide range of companies who understand the value of supporting vital medical research. This support can take many forms to bring tangible benefits to your company, from employee fundraising and sponsorship to recycling and cause-related marketing partnerships.
There are many benefits you can expect from a relationship with Action Medical Research, depending on the kind of activity you choose, such as:
- a great PR story
- positive association with a highly motivating cause
- demonstrating your commitment to corporate social responsibility
- enhancing staff morale, teamwork and internal communications
- differentiating your company from your competitors
- increasing your brand awareness
- providing access to our mascot Paddington Bear.
Employee fundraising is a great way to give your staff the chance to have fun, get creative, build relationships via teamwork and improve internal communications. The emphasis is on fun in the name of a good cause.

Your staff can take part as individuals or teams in activities all around the country and abroad — from sponsored runs, walks, bike rides and treks to team events and balls. We can even work with you to create exclusive bespoke events.
We are experienced at working hand-in-hand with organisers of award ceremonies and company balls to incorporate a fundraising element into proceedings. We can assist with sourcing raffle and auction items, creative fundraising ideas and celebrity support on the evening.

This is a simple and tax-free method for employees to donate to the charity of their choice direct from their pay, but they can only do it if your company is signed up to a payroll giving scheme.
Matched giving
Many of the best employers in the UK offer matched giving schemes, topping up staff’s charity fundraising, including payroll giving, with a corporate donation.
By matching pound-for-pound up to an agreed level your company sends a great message to your employees.
Choose Action Medical Research as your company’s charity partner for the year and support our vital medical research.
We will work with you to develop motivating and exciting fundraising ideas that suit your company, from staff fundraising to cause-related marketing and can also provide access to our mascot Paddington Bear.
Charity of the Year is a great way to focus staff on one cause and work together to reach an agreed fundraising goal. It offers opportunities for increased team working, improved internal communications and personal development.
We have an incredible portfolio of individual and team challenges which we can offer to your staff, from the Three Peaks Challenge and Race the Sun to treks, runs, walks and bike rides.

Lloyds Pharmacy chose Action Medical Research as one of their charity partners for 2008. By displaying a poster featuring the charity’s mascot, Paddington Bear, they raised awareness of our Touching Tiny Lives appeal.
More than £6,400 was raised by customers donating their spare change.
Bakkavör Group
Bakkavör Group is a leading international food manufacturing company specialising in fresh prepared foods and produce. The company chose Action Medical Research as its charity partner, raising over £70,000 for our Touching Tiny Lives campaign.
Staff at all levels of the business have been actively encouraged to support the charity by offering places on sponsored treks in Iceland and Peru, promoting Paddington pin badges and trolley coins, introducing a printer cartridge and phone recycling scheme and supporting additional fundraising.
Ágúst Gudmundsson, CEO of Bakkavör Group, said:
“As a major food producer in the UK, Bakkavör Group is committed to supporting initiatives which can make a real difference to the health of our employees, their families and the local communities in which we operate.
We are therefore proud to support Action Medical Research, as this charity has played a key role funding pioneering research which has had a direct positive impact on many people’s lives. As an Action Partner we hope that we can help this charity carry on making a difference.”

Could you sell our Paddington pin badges on our behalf? Our duffel-coated mascot appeals to a broad age range; we just need access to supportive high street companies to help him find his way to the public!
With five unique designs to choose from, including Paddington blowing out his birthday candles, the hardest part is picking just one. Paddington could even make a special guest appearance if you’d like local press coverage!
