Vitality London 10,000 at Hatfield Park

11 July 2021

Join us for London’s iconic 10k race

Take part in the Vitality London 10,000 and help us to save and change the lives of sick and disabled babies and children.

This year the iconic race will be held in Hatfield Park, Hertfordshire on Sunday 11 July, with two races, a non-socially distanced event at 09:00, with a mass start and no social distancing measures in place, and another socially distanced run at 10:45, with runners starting in pairs at two-second intervals, to create more space throughout the race route.

After the tragic loss of my granddaughter, I just wanted to do something that could help make a difference. I found a place on the Vitality London 10,000 thanks to Action Medical Research. The charity supported me every step of the way. It felt wonderful to not only achieve my goal, but to also know that I was helping their fight for tiny lives.

race day and route

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Hatfield Park gives you the chance to experience the freedom of running on tracks and trails in a tranquil setting. The terrain is varied and undulating – with some stretches on tree-lined road – passing grassland, ancient oaks and the banks of the River Lea.

While it may not be fast and flat, it’s never boring!

Once you’ve finished your 10K, you and your family or friends are welcome to stay and explore the park – perhaps you’ll find the perfect spot for a post-event picnic! – or enjoy the family fun area, which will be open from 12:30.

run for a reason

Run for children like Luka

Baby Luka was born very prematurely at just 30 weeks. He contracted the serious bowel disease NEC but thankfully he survived after emergency surgery and is now a healthy one-year-old. Action has funded a wide range of studies into premature birth and NEC, by running the London 10k for Action you'll be joining our fight to help stop babies being born too soon.
