At Action Medical Research, we’re on a mission to save and change children’s lives through medical research, developing treatments, vaccinations and cures.
A UK-wide charity, we’ve been funding medical breakthroughs for over 65 years, helping to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. Our work is now needed more than ever, including in the battle against COVID-19.
About the role
We are looking for an effective communications specialist with experience in medical research communications, content strategy and delivery across a range of digital platforms for different fundraising audiences. You will be comfortable working with the scientific content of medical research and be able to demonstrate an ability to translate complex material into engaging and accessible media across a range of channels. With experience in social media you will help us increase reach and engagement across our range of social platforms and be comfortable creating and monitoring social content. You will also have experience of writing compelling news and feature stories about our research and be experienced at selling in ideas to the media, as well as being able to support fundraising PR.
You will be part of a small dynamic team responsible for web, social media, PR and design.
