Bring Your Bear for schools and nurseries

Your School or Nursery is invited to celebrate Paddington Bear’s birthday in June by taking part in Bring Your Bear Day.

On 25 June, or any day in June, around 100,000 children bring their teddy bears to school or nursery to celebrate Paddington Bear’s birthday in return for a £1 donation.

There are still places available so why not register today?

The event is simple to organise and great fun for all the children. And to help make the day a real success apply for your fundraising kit filled with stickers, posters, worksheets, fundraising ideas and Paddington story time CDs (while stocks last.)

Register now so you don’t miss out on receiving your free fundraising kit.

As well as the highlight of your Summer Term you will also be raising money for a good cause, our Touching Tiny Lives appeal.  With your help we need to raise £210,000 to help save tiny lives.  Tragically, each year in the UK more than 3,000 babies die before their first birthday and premature birth is the biggest cause.  Help save sick babies by signing up for Bring Your Bear.

To thank you and the children for taking part in Bring Your Bear:

  • We’ll send every school and nursery a personalised certificate
  • If you agree to raise £150 or more, we’ll send you a Paddington Bear soft toy ahead of your event.  You can use him as a prize for a raffle or a drawing competition.
  • If you raise £250 or more, we’ll send you a commemorative plaque to mark your fantastic achievements.
  • If you are one of the top ten fundraisers Paddington himself will visit the children to say a special thank you.

If you are a secondary school, college, university or work place and would like to join in, working with Paddington Bear to help save tiny lives, we have a special event for you on Friday 17 September 2010 called Wellies to Work.

  • Celebrate Paddington’s birthday
  • Children bring their bear and donate £1
  • Free fundraising kit when you register
  • All who take part receive a certificate
  • Top 10 fundraisers receive visit from Paddington
  • All funds for Touching Tiny Lives appeal
