Marks & Spencer, the major British multinational retailer.
Action Medical Research was delighted to have benefitted from the M&S Charity Challenge which was an opportunity for M&S employees and associates to help raise £1 million in June 2013 for five charity partners. A large part of this target was centred around the Bike24 cycle ride held at Rockingham Race Track on the 22-23 June 2013.
Around 1,500 M&S employees, mostly in team of four but with some solo riders too, took on the challenge of cycling for twenty-four hours around the 3.5 mile race track to raise money for charity.
A group of committed cyclists also pedalled from offices in Paris to London – Arc to Arch – in just three days to raise even more money.
Since then we have been working with local branches of the company to engage with staff and customers and raising more valuable funds.
