In UK Charity Week we're taking the chance to say a huge thank you to the families who've shared their stories with Action in 2017.
We're privileged to have worked with even more families across the UK in 2017, finding out at first hand what it can be like to experience the shock of premature birth and the anxiety, worry and even tragedy that may follow. We've heard about the challenges that face families when their children are living with devastating rare diseases and disabling conditions. We've also heard about the positive difference a diagnosis may make, when it offers an explanation for symptoms, helps parents plan their child's future care, or enables families to find new sources of information and support.
We have shared stories that are hard to read, when children suffer distressing symptoms that affect many aspects of their health and wellbeing, their education and their future. We've also been able to share some uplifting updates, where the impact of treatment developed through medical research has transformed a child's life. And we've heard from mums and dads how much it means to them to know that vital research is happening, to help sick and vulnerable babies and children.
In UK Charity Week, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all the families who've generously shared their stories with us in 2017 to help raise awareness and funds for vital medical research - your support inspires us every day and really does make a difference.
