The bands are tuning up for Action’s ‘Gig in the Garden’

Published on

The music festival season is upon us and ‘Gig in the Garden’ is set to return to Suffolk on 8 July!

Fans of Jagger, Richards, Wood et al will love this year’s headline act which is none other than The Rolling Clones: a UK-based, internationally touring tribute act to one of the biggest bands in the world.

They will be supported by a number of other acts both on the main stage and the John Peel Centre acoustic stage including: Honey & The Bear, Searching Grey and Underline the Sky.

There’s a new venue this year too at a fabulous private site off Hoggars Lane, Mendlesham.

Action Medical Research’s Community Fundraising Manager for the region Lucy Hynes said: “This will be our fifth ‘Gig in the Garden’ event and we can’t wait!

“There’s always such a fun atmosphere for families with plenty of refreshments, children’s entertainment and of course live music for all to enjoy.”

Gates open at midday on Saturday 8 July with the festivities concluding at 11pm.

As well as live music on the two stages, children will get to enjoy huge a bubble show and face painting from Steff and Nonsense, bouncy castles, karts and craft activities.

Tickets are £15 with under 16s getting in for free! You can even pitch up a tent for the night – just make sure you book your pitch online.
