Tickets are now on sale for the sixth annual ‘Gig in the Garden’ in Suffolk.
The family friendly music festival returns to Mendlesham for two days this year – Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July – and is once again raising money for Action Medical Research.
Headlining the main stage on Saturday night will be the UK Bee Gees, the “most realistic tribute to the Bee Gees that you will ever see or hear”.
The trio have worked together since 1990 and have performed all over the world, including Europe, the U.S.A and Asia. From the first opening song of ‘You Should Be Dancing’, all the way through the romantic ballads such as ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ and finally into the fantastic disco film tracks such as ‘Night Fever’ and ‘Stayin’ Alive’, you’ll be forgiven for thinking that the real Bee Gees are there in Mendlesham!
You can see a full list of bands here where you’ll also find details of a 10% discount on tickets bought before 1st May.
Action Medical Research’s Community Fundraising Manager for the region Lucy Hynes says she can’t wait: “We’re so excited to be returning to Mendlesham and to be there for two days is an added bonus!
“Since we started organising this festival back in 2013, we’ve raised around £45,000 for Action which is just incredible!
“If you’re a fan of live music, you’ll love Gig in the Garden; there’s plenty to do for all the family with children’s entertainment, bouncy castles and of course plenty of refreshments.”
Action Medical Research has been funding medical breakthroughs since it began in 1952 including helping to introduce the first polio vaccines in the UK, developing the use of ultrasound in pregnancy and testing the rubella vaccine.
The charity is currently funding research into conditions including asthma, prematurity, epilepsy, meningitis, cerebral palsy, brain cancer and some rare and distressing conditions.
