The Action Medical Research Chiltern Committee are delighted to announce that their annual Autumn Fair will be held on Thursday 6th October this year. It is almost 20 years since the committee held their first charity Fair at Hall Barn, Beaconsfield, by kind permission and support from the Hon Mrs Farncombe. This Fair is the largest charity Gift Fair in south Buckinghamshire and attracts visitors from a wide area.
You are invited to start your Christmas shopping at The Autumn Gift Fair, set in stunning surroundings in the heart of the Chiltern countryside. Come and browse and shop at 40 plus tables selling such items as distinctive clothing and cashmere, unique jewellery, accessories to adorn you and your home, British artisan produce, silk flowers, homemade cakes and much more. Light lunches are available, with refreshments served all day.
The entrance fee is £5 (parking is free). Funds raised on the day go entirely to Action Medical Research, the leading UK-wide charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick babies and children. Action’s mission is to save and change children’s lives through medical research, developing treatments, vaccinations and cures.
Sheila Davis, Chair of the Action Medical Research Chiltern Committee and organiser of the event, said: “We are thrilled to be back at Hall Barn with such a wonderful number of stalls with quality products. We could not hold the event without local support, and we are grateful to the Beaconsfield office of Knight Frank who provide a complimentary shuttle taxi service from the car park, and to our principal sponsor KJ Smith Solicitors, as well as our advertisers in this year’s invitation brochure. We are looking forward to raising much needed funds for Action Medical Research.”
Sheila continues, “We are always looking for volunteers at this event and if you could help by giving your time for an hour or more, we would be delighted.” Please contact Sheila at smdavis201@gmail.com for more information or for a copy of the Autumn Fair invitation brochure.
The event will be held at Hall Barn, Beaconsfield, on Thursday 6th October 2022 from 10.00am to 3.30pm. Admission is £5 per person. This is not a ticketed event, and you may turn up on the day.

For 70 years we’ve helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Our research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound in pregnancy, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But we urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and we can’t do it without you.
