Long term charity supporter takes on cancer with unique cycling challenge: ‘Cancer my Arse!’

In a courageous response to his ongoing battle with stage 4 cancer, long term friend and supporter of Action Medical Research is launching a bold new fundraising challenge – ‘Cancer My Arse!’

Diagnosed four years ago, Kevin’s fight has taken a serious turn with the cancer aggressively spreading to his lungs and pelvis, but his determination has sparked a remarkable fundraising initiative.

As an avid cyclist, Kevin has faced an additional hardship following the removal of his colon, he is no longer able to sit comfortably on the saddle of his bike. Refusing to give up his passion, he devised this creative challenge: Participants will ride as far as they can without sitting down, to show support for Kevin’s resilience and raise funds for charity.

The ‘Cancer My Arse!’ challenge not only raises essential funds for medical research but serves as a powerful symbol of hope. The challenge aims for participants to collectively cycle further than the distance to the moon (just over 238,855 miles) and to raise over £23,885 for three charities: Action Medical Research, Cancer Research UK and Bowel Cancer UK.
