We challenge you to complete 60 miles between 1st October and 29th November 2019 and raise at least £60 to help the 60,000 babies that are born too soon each year in the UK.
Around 60,000 babies are born prematurely each year in the UK, tragically more than 1,000 lose their lives due to premature birth. Globally, it’s the biggest killer of children under 5. It’s too many. Far too many. Please join us in this fight to help stop the devastation caused by premature birth.
Walking, running, hiking or sprinting, it’s up to you how you take part and the beauty of it is, you can do it wherever you like too!
However, you choose to complete your 60,000 Reasons challenge this Autumn, the money you raise will fund vital research to help stop premature birth.

Action in numbers
We are currently funding projects including research into premature birth, cerebral palsy, childhood infections, juvenile arthritis, leukaemia and some rare and distressing conditions.

£60 can fund half a day of a research midwife’s time
£100
£100 can fund a researcher for a day to improve treatments for the babies starved of oxygen at birth
£280
£280 can fund a pioneering research project for a day into causes of premature birth
