A tour of Switzerland’s stunning Jura Mountains awaits riders raising funds to help sick and disabled children.

Action Medical Research is thrilled to announce the return of Ziggurat, the networking cycling event for professionals in the construction and built environment sectors. Ziggurat 2025 will take place from 10 – 14 September, 2025, offering participants an unforgettable four-day tour through the Jura Mountains and lakes of Switzerland – all in support of Action Medical Research who are on a mission to save and change children’s lives through medical research.

Now in its eighth year, Ziggurat continues to combine spectacular cycling routes with networking, while raising vital funds to help children who depend on breakthroughs made possible by Action Medical Research.

Ziggurat 2025 is made possible thanks to the generous support of its industry sponsors and partners: Brett, Maylim, Day Group, SIG and Stortford Interiors.

Bill Brett, Chairman, Brett Group, says:

“Brett have been involved with the Ziggurat ride since it began in 2017 and are extremely proud to sponsor and take part in this yearly event which helps raise awareness and improve the lives of sick children and their families.”

This year’s ride will cover 320 miles and include 15,500 feet of climbing, with all routes starting and finishing from the Grand Hotel in Yverdon-les-Bains. Each day offers a different looped route, featuring alpine climbs, tranquil lakeside stretches, vineyard-lined descents and charming Swiss villages.

Around 80 riders are expected to take part, and the event is fully supported and professionally managed by the Action Medical Research cycling team, ensuring a safe, seamless and memorable experience.

Sarah Stevenson, Head of Corporate Partnerships, Action Medical Research, says:

“Ziggurat is more than just a bike ride – it’s an opportunity for professionals from the construction and built environment sector to get together and support life-changing research for sick and vulnerable children. We’re incredibly proud to bring the industry together for a shared purpose: to fund vital research that offers hope to families across the UK. With the breathtaking Jura Mountains as our backdrop in 2025, we know this year’s ride will be our most impactful yet.”

Funds raised through Ziggurat help Action Medical Research continue its critical work funding medical research to fight rare and devastating childhood conditions. Whether supporting breakthroughs in premature birth, brain injury or rare diseases, every mile cycled helps save and change lives.
