How do I get involved and raise funds for Action by playing games?
Start off by letting us know what you are planning to do and see how we can help by fill out the simple form.
How do I promote my gaming stream/event?
The more people that know about your challenge the more money you will raise so use social media in build-up and during to give updates and links to your stream (if you’re streaming). Retweets, likes and shares all help.
Do I have to use JustGiving/Twitch?
Why do I need to be over 18 to organise a charity stream?
We’re happy for under 18s to take part in an organised stream with parental consent, but organisers should be over 18.
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. It allows Action Medical Research to claim at least 25p back from the Inland Revenue for every pound you give, as long as you are a UK taxpayer. Find out more.
Are my donations eligible for Gift Aid?
As long as you/they are a UK tax payer your donations are eligible for Gift Aid. JustGiving will automatically ask donors if they’d like to sign up for Gift Aid. If you’re donating direct please complete a Gift Aid declaration – in writing, by email or verbally, so just let us know when you donate you’d like to sign up for Gift Aid.
