Garmin have been fantastic supporters over the past few years, both by donating prizes and gifts for our social events and also by working together to organise the annual Garmin Ride Outs.
Garmin Ride Outs
Riders attend from Cannondale, Movistar, Lampre-Merida and Madison Genesis, as they warm up for the Tour of Britain. The fully marshalled 47 mile route, through the New Forest, offers one of the most scenic cycling experiences in the country.
Each cyclist pays a registration fee and receives a limited edition Garmin jersey, while a raffle with prizes including top-of-the-range bikes also raises funds for Action. Over the past two years the Garmin Ride Outs have raised over £75,000 for the charity’s vital work to help children and babies.
A magic time
On 29 April 2021 Action organised a Magic Show & Quiz, with magical host Paul Martin, to engage with the awesome staff at Garmin.
Not only was it a super fun way to spend an hour on a weekday but it helped us raise over £300 as well and was supported by Lucky Saint, supplying alcohol free beer for the occasion.
