Hunter syndrome, also known as mucopolysaccharidosis type II, is a cruel genetic disease that mainly affects boys.
In its most severe form the condition has a wide range of debilitating symptoms that sadly only get worse over time. It can result in progressive neurological problems, as well as issues with the liver, lungs and heart. Sadly, as there is currently no cure, children can lose their lives at a very young age.
That's why we urgently need your help to raise £10,000 towards a vital piece of research that could transform the outlook for boys with this condition, by helping to alleviate the severe brain symptoms of Hunter syndrome.

Danny's story
Danny was just three years old when he was diagnosed with Hunter syndrome. It was heartbreaking news for his parents. Now nine years old, Danny is gradually losing the skills he once had. He can no longer talk and is struggling with his balance and has a heart murmur.
