Davina’s Night In
These terms and conditions apply to the virtual event Davina’s Night In, and by taking part in the event, you agree to comply with them and confirm that you satisfy the requirements set out below.
As a supporter of Action, we will always keep your details safe and secure and will not sell or swap your details with anyone. You can read our full Privacy Policy or contact us on the below details to receive a copy in the post. supportercare@action.org.uk or by calling us on 01403 210406.
By taking part in the event you agree to the following conditions:
1. Access
- Davina’s Night In is a virtual fundraising event and replaces the charities ladies lunch event.
- Entry is free
- The link provided will allow access to a live streamed event on Tuesday 24th November 2020 starting at 8pm.
- To watch you will need access to the internet and it will be live streamed from www.action.org.uk/events/social-events/davinas-night-in Action will be not held responsible for any loss of connection.
2. Auction
- Anyone bidding in the auction must be over the age of 18.
- A bid on an auction item is considered a commitment to purchase the item.
If you have won an auction item, you will be informed after the auction closes. Bidders should check for both text and email messages including in their ‘Spam’ folders. - Payment for each auction item must be made in full before the item is released.
- Action Medical Research reserve the right to resell any auction item if the winning bidder fails to make contact and arrangements to pay within 7 days of the end of the auction.
- A selection of the auction lots are sourced and provided by Superstars and will have costs relating to them. All proceeds after these costs will go to Action Medical Research.
3. Use of Personal Data
- Action Medical Research will retain your contact information for the purposes of servicing this event. We will only contact you about future events if you consent to ongoing marketing updates. Should you wish to opt out, you will not receive any further information from Action Medical Research. Event data will remain on our system for a period of 5 years to allow for ongoing analysis of our supporter base.
- Your personal data will not be shared by Action Medical Research with any third parties, including Superstars or Jumblebee or any other parties involved in the provision of Davina’s Night In
- Action Medical Research reserves the right to use any photography or videos you share or post on Action Medical Research’s social media pages on behalf of the Charity to raise awareness of and/or funds for Action Medical Research.

Star Prize Draw
Promoter: Action Medical Research, Vincent House, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 2DP.

This star prize draw is hosted by Jumblebee.co.uk
All proceeds from the star prize draw go to Action Medical Research (Registered office address: Vincent House, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 2DP).
You represent and agree that;
a) You are 18 years of age or over
b) You are a resident of Great Britain or Northern Ireland
c) You will not buy or purport to buy an entry to this draw on behalf of anybody under the age of 18
d) You will provide accurate entry information, including your name and email address and accept that it is your responsibility to keep us informed of any changes as soon as they arise.
You agree that you shall not be entitled to receive any prize if you are unable to substantiate to the Promoter your representations under paragraphs 3 (a), (b) and (c) above.
The first prize is for a designer handbag up to the value of £1,000. Action Medical Research will liaise with the winner to complete the purchase of the bag and arrange for it to be sent to the winner.
Details of all prizes are displayed on the Action Medical Research website.
There is no alternative to the prizes and no interest is payable.
The prizes will be posted to the winners within 30 days.
Entrants will be notified as to any change in the prize structure.
Entrants must provide their postal address to receive their prize. This personal data will only be shared with Superstars and Jumblebee our authorised data processors for the purpose of this event. It shall not be shared with any other third parties.
The cost of entry to the draw is £10. You may purchase more than one entry and payment must be made in advance by one of the methods permitted and will be held as customers funds.
The Promoter may (without giving any reason or notice at its absolute discretion) decline to accept an entry or terminate or suspend the draw.
Entry closes to the raffle at 12 noon on Wednesday 25th November 2020.
The Promoter will conduct the draw after 12 noon on Thursday 25th November 2020. The draw will be made by StarVale Management & Technologies Limited which is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 3273.
The draw will be made utilising a Random Number Generator (RNG) that has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission approved, third-party test house.
The winners will be announced on the charity’s website.
No liability is accepted for the loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication.
The Promoter reserves the right to use the winner’s names for promotional purposes. These will be only in summary, for example Mr Smith from London. In addition, The Promoter may also ask to use winners’ stories and/or photographs for publication on the website, or to promote another raffle.
The Promoter operates a Complaints and Disputes Procedure which is available via the Action Medical Research website and which will also be made available to customers upon request.
Action Medical Research is committed to ensure that information about how to take part responsibly and how to access information and help in respect of problem gambling is readily available to all. The Promoter’s decisions made pursuant to the Rules shall, once made, be final and binding.

This is the first Star Prize Draw to be held online and as such has no historic data about the likelihood of winning a prize. Based on an average of the last three years (2019,2018 & 2017) Star Prize Draws at the live version of this event the likelihood of winning a prize is 1 in 13.
There are no costs to be attributed to supplying the prizes and therefore 87.8% of the estimated proceeds will fund vital medical research across the UK, to help beat diseases that devastate children's lives and improve lives for children living with disability and disabling conditions
